Currently reading. I wanted to find a brief overview of the major events in the life of the Buddha as an entry point for the pilgrimage. This one seems suitable and is only 161 pages. The inclusion of a reconstruction of the Buddha’s actual appearance came as a shock, and if I am honest I found it a bit ‘dissapointing’ after the descriptive grandeur of the suttas.
